Tricefy can integrate with any EMR/EHR through HL7 version 2.x 

The Tricefy HL7 engine supports an imaging results interface (ORU) and orders interface (ORM).

Once Tricefy is configured for a specific EMR imaging result integration the Tricefy cloud HL7 engine builds the HL7 message -- which typically includes an embedded study summary PDF document with the report (if applicable) + all images captured during the exam as embedded thumbnails on the PDF.

*All HL7 messages are initially transferred from Tricefy cloud to local Tricefy Uplink hosted in client's/clinic's network (or vice versa).

The HL7 messages can then be transferred in the following ways to be picked up for processing by the EMR:

1. File drop in local folder of client network
2. Secure file transfer (SFTP) -- hosted by client or EMR vendor
3. TCP/IP -- via secure connection (VPN) with client and cloud hosted instance of EMR

Tricefy can also support passing individual measurement values to the EMR from the Structured Report (SR) of the imaging device in a results HL7 message (within the OBX segments). You will need to work with a Tricefy support representative and a EMR integrations representative to confirm compatibility for this type of interface.

When the EMR user clicks the Tricefy study link in a patient's chart, the appropriate viewer displays the contents. Tricefy will first authenticate the user (by making them log into Tricefy) to ensure the user is authorized to access to the data.
